Brothers

We did our Friday morning sister pics by the bookshelf at home today, since it was super gray and wet and rainy. Love these sweet, loving sisters!

Emerson was all smiles on her way to the car at the end of the day.

After picking up both girls, we went out to Havana to Nana & PopPop’s house for dinner. We were able to sit out on the back porch in the chilly evening air, and watch a beautiful sunset right from their backyard!

And look who is here this weekend! Jeff’s dad is retiring and preaching his final sermon on Sunday as senior pastor, so the boys came down to be a part of the festivities. The girls were SO excited to see Ryan and Gabe, and they all had fun playing together in the backyard before dinner.

We ordered a few pizzas to share for dinner all together, for the nine of us. Because Jeff’s older brother Greg was also in town for the weekend! Jeff’s younger brother Brad is coming tonight too, but his flight doesn’t get in tonight until sometime after 10pm, so he missed dinner tonight.

After hanging out for a while there, and doing some minimal set-up for tomorrow’s Galentine’s Tea Party, we headed back home once the girls were getting too tired to function any more… They both fell asleep in the car on the way home, and were asleep again almost immediately once we got them into their beds at home. I threw together a very quick chocolate chip banana bread (with chocolate chips borrowed from Nana’s house) and popped that into the oven to bake while I’m writing this, for tomorrow’s tea party.

Tonight was a good night, and it’s gonna be a great weekend too, with lots of events and activities and family time and family from out of town. We have Emmie and Addie’s two brothers here, and Jeff’s two brothers are gonna be here. Gonna be busy, but great!

Update – the house smells amazing and this turned out beautifully.
