So I did end up falling asleep on the couch last night. But I woke up at 10:43, so I hobbled out to the driveway with hubby to check out the super moon. It was behind this tree at first, but once we found the right angle, we were literally both like, “WHOA!” It was just so incredibly bright! And so clear. It was amazing!
Sweet little Emerson is just such a goofball sometimes, even about brushing her teeth!
And then she hits these funny little poses, and I die with cuteness.
I had the last of the frittata for lunch today. Sadly, my last two pieces of cornbread had mold on them, so I had to throw them away this morning. But a good old piece of buttered white toast was yummy too! Also, how cute is my little bookmark!?
Emerson had another great day at school today, and went pee in the potty a few times, with no wet diapers or wet panties!
Apparently she was cold this morning, and needed to just snuggle up in her blankie in class for a while. And I just think it’s so precious!
I loved her three pony tails when I picked her up! They were so perfect and neat, and I was impressed with her teachers’ skills!
At home, I grabbed a plate to defrost some chicken in the microwave, and I turned around behind me to place it on the counter, and I missed, and it fell on the floor and broke right in half! But, we’ve been married for 6.5 years, and this is the only piece of our dishes that has ever broken! (I’m still going to contact them to see about a replacement, because it’s supposed to be the shatter-proof stuff…)
And then I got started making one-pot chicken & coconut curry noodles. Jeff says this is currently his favorite thing I make, and really I have to agree with him. It’s so good and delicious and flavorful, and we love it! I can now make it without the recipe (tonight I added in a few extra veggies I had on hand), but if you’re looking for something new to try during the quarantine, click here. (Although, you probably don’t keep some of these things on hand usually, you should get them the next time you venture to the grocery store.)
When I took Emmie’s hair down, it looked so funny. She was running around the house with her hair flopping, and it looked like cute little puppy dog ears.
She’s just so precious and beautiful and adorable, all fresh and clean and nicely combed after her bath time. And she smelled so good!
After reading some Bible stories, and getting some hugs from Daddy, she was telling me a few things about her day. This was her trying to convince me we needed to read just one more book. So I caved and found one tiny little book to read before lullabies. She’s just too cute to deny her!
I worked hard to wash allll the dishes after Emmie’s bedtime, and now the kitchen is nice and clean. Ooh, and we’ve got leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Time to go chill and relax now.
