Breakfast Treat

Well yesterday, Addie was sick, and the last night, Emmie woke up around 3am not feeling well either. So Jeff stayed home with both of them today. That meant I went straight to work without dropping off any little girlies, so that also meant I treated myself to Chick-fil-A breakfast. This was so delicious and I want to eat the whole thing again tomorrow morning.

Jeff actually wasn’t feeling great either, and said that he and Emerson both had headaches and spent the majority of the day just laying around and napping. But Addison on the other hand was back to her cheerful, silly self, just boppin’ around the house playing and being goofy and loud.

I skipped church tonight to come home and take care of everyone, instead of singing on the worship team. I did a super simple dinner tonight, with this fall shaped pasta & roasted garlic red sauce from Aldi. Well, that’s what I ate, oh with ricotta cheese dollops on top. Emmie and Addie had these noodles but with butter and parm only. Jeff had the last of the leftover tacos & rice & beans from last night. And then the girls decided they wanted tacos too, but I knew they didn’t want the carnitas, so I made them bean & cheese tacos with sour cream.

This girl was in “rare form” tonight, as my family would say. Which just means she was even sillier and goofier than usual, cracking us all up and really lifting spirits.

My Emmie girl never got as sick today as Addie pie had been (luckily she didn’t even throw up), but she was still very calm and quiet and under the weather. She still wanted to read a book together for bedtime, and we actually read two.

And Addie and Pennie were bonding and cuddling at bedtime again.

I’ve got a big pile of dishes I need to take care of, and a new audio book to get started on.
