Bookshop Puzzle

We started off our day today with delicious breakfast at Country Kitchen with Grammy and Papa.

After breakfast, Addie said she was tired and wanted to go home, so Jeff bundled her up in the truck, and they headed home. (And Papa headed home to his house too.)

But Emmie, Grammy and I went shopping! We went to Belk looking for Easter dresses, and found great ones for the girls. Emerson also found this giant velvet, cowl-neck sweater that she thought looked like a cape, and she put it on and declared she was Hermione from Harry Potter!

Grammy also gave the girls their very own Trader Joe’s mini tote bags. Even though we already have four, and I let them use them all the time, now they can claim these two new ones as their own.

Then Emerson and I hit up the Goodwill on North Monroe, and scored lots of great clothes for Emmie. Three dresses, a t-shirt, and a pair of Lucky Brand denim shorts. Plus an Encanto shirt & book for Addie that I’ll save for her birthday in May. We also got a few other books, and an Ewok puzzle, plus a bathing suit for Addie for next summer. It’s too big now, but it was a long-sleeve Minnie Mouse suit for $2.97, so we couldn’t pass it up!

And then we hit up a few Little Free Libraries on our way back home. But we also had to stop to check out one of these super floofy trees we’ve been seeing all over town lately, that she’s been dying to get a closer look at.

We had some quiet rest time at home for a little while this afternoon, kinda just watching movies, reading books, and lazing around. After about an hour of that, I ran to Walmart to get our grocery pick-up order. On my way there, I saw a huge sign that the Beall’s Outlet on Tennessee Street is closing, so I decided to run in and took a quick look. None of the stuff was on clearance yet though really, but I did run into two church families/friends while there, and found a gift for Hayden for Christmas 2027 🤣

So after Beall’s, and Walmart, I got back home and we put all the groceries away, and then tidied up the living room, and Jeff also worked on some laundry today. Then, after taking a very long break for a very busy March, we finally got back around to working on this cute little 3D puzzle bookshop. Luckily, Jeff is very good at Lego’s and things like these, because it would have taken me forty-forever’s to do this on my own!

We took a break a little after the photo above, to scrounge up some dinner (a mix of turkey sandwiches and leftovers), and then the girls had a bath. We got them into fresh, clean jammies and then gave them sleepy gummies and brushed their teeth, and then cuddled back up on the couch for PB&J Otter. We also finished up the little bookshop at this point, and it turned out soooo cute!! It even has a little light in it that you can switch on & off, which makes it so cute and cozy.

I made some space for the bookshop over on top of one of my bookshelves between the plants, and it looks adorable here.

And then this little SweetPea fell asleep all snuggly up on the couch under her little blankie.

We got her moved to the bed and she went back to sleep quickly, and Emerson also fell asleep pretty quickly tonight too. I’m sure there’s more laundry to do, and the sink is full of dishes. However, I forgot to add dish soap to my Walmart order, and I’m all out, so I’ll have to run out and get some tomorrow at some point…
