Blankets in Bethlehem

Today was Christmas PJ’s day for Addie at school, and we pulled out a few funny Christmas-themed headbands for the girls too.

Emerson also turned in her Landmark Engineer Project for school today! If you hadn’t seen us working on this yet, she chose to do the CN Tower from Toronto, and she did such a great job! She told me tonight that her teacher said this was the first time someone had picked this landmark, and had been impressed with her project! (Also, please zoom in to her “design idea” on her paper, and see what a great job she did, sketching out her idea before beginning on the constructions!)

Addison’s class met Santa today at school, but it doesn’t seem like she was too thrilled about the situation. She told me tonight actually that she wasn’t listening when it was her turn, and had gotten in trouble and wasn’t going to get a present. I told her something like, “OH well maybe if you’re good the next week or so, Santa will still bring you a present.” And she was just like, “I don’t wanna be good.” So, there you go!

The whole family met up for dinner at Blaze Pizza tonight, for a big family pizza Friday night. We had delicious food, shared things across the tables back & forth, and

And then after dinner, we zipped up our fleece jackets, grabbed some blankets, and went on a family field trip to Bethlehem! We were very prepared for the 60-degree weather (we thought it was gonna be much colder), and we got there at the perfect time for the line to have died down. We actually rode the hayride twice, since there weren’t a ton of people waiting to get on after we finished the first trip through.

Loved Hayden’s super squishy little cheeks while being strapped onto his Mama for the hayride.

Grateful for a great night with the fam, and the end of another week.
