We were all up and moving early this morning, and had an easy day getting everyone dressed, and getting everything ready. Addie had a breakfast snack at home, but was still hungry, so we went back to the gas station again for breakfast again today.

Love both of their new Valentine’s outfits, and their matching jackets. Plus Addie’s little pose and the sunrise peeking out from behind them!

Jeff picked me up from the office for a little lunch time date to Mission BBQ. I had pulled chicken (with the mustard sauce, since I figured it would have the lowest carbs) with green beans, and about three little bites of cornbread. And we had a nice little lunch date together!

I stuck to low-carb for lunch, but really went all-out for dessert! We picked up my free birthday bundtlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes before heading back to the office. I chose the Biscoff cookie butter flavor one and wow, it was delicious. I had about half of it right after lunch, and then caved and finished the other half a few hours later with a hot cup of coffee.

Cute little pics of Emmie at school today, from her teachers’ Instagram page.

We had a bit of a fridge clean-out for dinner tonight, trying to finish up some of the leftovers from throughout the week. I turned the taco-seasoned crockpot shredded beef into a taco salad for me, with romaine lettuce, half an avocado, tomatoes, green onion, sour cream, salsa, taco sauce, and crispy onions, and it was very tasty.

After dinner, the girls were watching a silly little puppy dog show, so I started up my diffuser and snuggled up in my bed to read my book club book. And it matches our sheets and looks so cute and coordinated.

My poor little Emmie is still not feeling very well, and was more than ready for an early bedtime. So me and her read from “Little House in the Big Woods” for about five minutes, before she was falling asleep. She was completely asleep before even the first lullaby was over, before 8pm even hit.

Meanwhile, this silly little goose was just wide awake, snuggled with Daddy watching videos of people building a hut in the woods without real tools. (Y’all know those videos? Jeff and the girls love them.)

Last night, I got started on this cute little 3D wooden bookstore puzzle from my parents. There are some TINY pieces involved, and I had to recruit Jeff for a little assistance. It’s a fun little project though, and it’s gonna be adorable once it’s finished!

It’s 9pm now, and Jeff is working on getting Addison to sleep. Think I’ll work on my little bookstore a bit more, and maybe try to get a bit of reading done before bedtime. The washing and chores can all wait until tomorrow…
