As we were loading up a few things in the back of the car this morning, Addison made her sister pose like this, and told me to take a pic, just like we did while we were on our little vacation a couple of weeks ago.
And then we met up with Grammy and Papa at Village Inn for breakfast! All of the meals came with a ridiculous amount of food, but it was all very yummy. Emerson ate every single bite of her own meal, and then had some of literally everyone else’s meals too.
And since Emerson’s Crocs were stolen from the shoe rack while she was in gymnastics class the other day, Grammy volunteered to take her shoe shopping today at Shoe Station, to get a replacement pair.
Then Jeff, the girls and I ran a bunch of errands all around town – Home Goods, Dollar Tree, Little Free Library’s, Whole Foods (for Amazon returns), Walmart (for grocery pickup), and finally lunch and home.
We did some cleaning up in the living room, and Jeff folded some laundry. I got Addie down for her nap, and then I accidentally took a two-hour nap on the couch… By the time Addie and I both woke up again, it was 5pm, so we quickly loaded up the girls’ bikes in the car, and went over to the church.
Emmie is going to be riding bikes at her school during PE next week, but she needed some more practice. We got her this bike last year on Black Friday, but it was just slightly too big for her, so she never really learned on it. Today though, she picked it up so fast, and was riding laps around the parking lot in no time! We don’t have a great spot near our house for her to ride, but luckily we’re only three minutes from church, and the parking lot was the perfect spot to practice.
Addie did actually have fun riding her tiny bike too, but was grumpy by the time I wanted to take a sister-pic, so this little sour face is all we got here 🤣
We decided to treat Emmie to a special slushy drink to celebrate learning to ride her bike, so we went to Sonic for blue raspberry slushies. We also just got dinner from there too and brought it home to eat. I got the girls in the bath after we ate, and then took a shower myself. Jeff also washed our sheets today and got them put back on the bed while I was getting the girls dressed in their jammies. So now I’m all fresh and clean and my bed is fresh and clean, and it’s gonna feel so nice to slide in those clean sheets later at bedtime.
