Bedtime with Pennie

Addison specifically asked to wear a dress to school today, and she looked cute in this new pink Minnie Mouse dress! And Emerson is really getting Grammy’s money’s worth out of these overalls she’s had since kindergarten 😉

Addie is working learning the letter “H” at school this week.

We met up for a quick meal at Chick-fil-A, for dinner before heading to church. I was on the worship team, and Jeff was in the sound booth, so the girls had to come early with us too. But Jeff gave them his phone and they just watched a video in the back of the sanctuary until it was time for them to go their classrooms.

When it was time for bed, Pennie followed us back to Addison’s room, and laid down quietly and calmly and listened while I read “Go, Dogs, Go,” which ironically, Addie picked out tonight for the car on the front, without even realizing it was about dogs.

And then when it was time to go to Emmie’s room, Pennie dutifully followed her in there and laid down in the bed next to her. Pennie was very busy being a good little nanny-dog tonight, putting the little girls to sleep!

I actually have a headache tonight, so I took some meds a little bit ago, and I’m hoping it will go away overnight and that I won’t wake up with it lingering in the morning.
