And on December 5th, I remembered to take & share a photo of this month’s Shutterfly calendar page. That little tongue in the top middle kills me!
I have no idea what exactly she was doing in these photos today, but she’s such a ham.
And she loves looking around and checking out all the things. I think she was pointing at a bird here…
I had Cheerios for my work lunch again today, and watched the first episode of season 4 of “This Is Us” on my phone from Hulu.
I got Emmie after a long day at work, and we started heading home. And of course the sky was so pretty tonight!
Emmie found a pair of her slippers that had been shoved in a bag from when she stayed at Grammy’s house a while back, and she was so pleased about it.
We had our super simple go-to of taquitos, yellow rice & black beans tonight. With Jeff still so sick, and all the crazy traffic during the month of December (it always takes about 10-15 minutes longer to get to school & back home after work), I plan to do the easiest, quickest meals possible for the next few weeks. And this one never disappoints! Also (not that you can tell), but I got out our Christmas plates tonight!
We did a super quick bath time after dinner, and she thought her “nakey panda baby” self was so funny.
After getting her dressed in another new pair of jammies, I set her upon the counter in the kitchen to brush her hair. And after eating two taquitos at dinner, she thought she still needed a little bit more. So she took two bites of this one, and then said we should save it. But I told her I was going to eat it for lunch tomorrow, and she said that was okay. 😉
And then it was time to look for Sheppy again! She first checked under the Christmas tree, which is where she found him last night , but he wasn’t there!
After looking around a little bit more, she found him in the hallway, hanging out with our genuine, really-from-Russia, Russian nesting doll. She decided to keep him with her tonight though (maybe hoping he won’t try to run off somewhere new!), so she’s sleeping with him in her bed.
This precious girl is already so pretty, but even gorgeous two-year-olds still need their beauty sleep!
And then she decided to try some new tricks, and did this all on her own! Clearly you can see she’s super proud of herself!
After watching a couple of night-night videos with Daddy, and giving him hugs (but no kisses because of the sick germs), her and I did bedtime together. It’s actually been going really great the last few nights. She tends to do better when it’s just me actually, instead of Jeff with us too. So even though I hate that he’s still sick, it’s been nice to have a few super easy bedtimes all in a row, since we had so many terrible bedtimes last week.
I got all the dishes washed after getting Emerson to bed, so now that everything is clean, it’s time to put on my super comfy cozy warm robe, make us two mugs of hot tea, and watch another Christmas movie!
