When I opened the back sliding glass door this morning to let Pretzel outside, I was blown away by this beautiful view! What a blessing to wake up to a gorgeous morning sky like this!
I don’t even know what Emerson was looking at, but whatever it was must have been super interesting!
I had a follow-up doctor’s appointment this morning, just to check back because when I went in for my annual exam my blood pressure was a little high. Check-in and waiting room practices are very different right now, but hey, my BP was normal today, so no worries about that!
And since I got a late start at work today after my appointment, I only took a 30-minute lunch break to help flex out the leave time. And because of that, we just went on a short, 1-mile walk today, and kinda forced the boys into coming with us. They weren’t too keen on it in the beginning, but they ended up liking it, and said multiple times through the afternoon, “that walk wasn’t too bad.” So we’re gonna force them to go again at least one more time this week. Today was technically the last day of the challenge with my office, but we’re going to try to stick with it, at least two or three times a week.
Our cute baby girl had a good day at school today, even though she only took a short little tiny nap. But she was still a happy camper tonight, so I guess she did okay!
Jeff and the boys went to pick Emerson up from school today, and did our Home Depot trip for the rest of the hinges and spray paint. I stayed home to wash up a couple of dishes, and put together this creamy cheesy sausage and tortellini bake. This was only the second time I made it, but it was even better tonight.
Jeff popped in the last white upper cabinet door tonight, and it’s just so beautiful!!! I can’t wait to deal with that brown window frame now, to get rid of the last of the old bad wood color.
Emmie had fun in the bath tonight, but she had even more fun playing peek-a-boo under her towel after she got dressed.
Jeff was outside replacing something or other with my brakes (the brake pads maybe?) because it’s been sounding really grind-y lately, and not so good. So he’s handling it himself, and hopefully it’ll be good as new in the morning!
Emmie was very sweet and loving at bedtime, even though she tried to tell me again tonight that she wasn’t tired…
Since Jeff is working on my car tonight, the plan is to spray paint the hinges for the lower cabinets gold tomorrow night, then hang the lower doors on Thursday. Or that’s the plan at least, we’ll see how it goes… I’m feeling kinda blah and tired tonight, so I think I’ll request one of the boys wash the dishes again tonight, so I can just relax and maybe go to bed early and hopefully wake up feeling better tomorrow.
