Bear Hugs & Bear Kisses

She’s just the happiest little girl! Also, when a dress gets too short, add some leggings underneath and get more life out of it with a “new” cute outfit!

Normal boring day at work, watched “This Is Us” on my lunch break, blah blah blah…

And then back to Growing Room to pick up this glamorous baby girl!

While dinner was cooking away, Emmie moved today’s advent ornament.

And we had taquitos again tonight! Since I didn’t got to the grocery store last weekend, I’ve just been making whatever we had stocked up. And of course we keep taquitos in stock around here! Last time I made them, someone asked what they were and where to find them, so here’s what the box looks like, and I get them from Walmart, and they’re so delish.

We were out of black beans tonight unfortunately, but it was still a good meal even without them. We listened to Perry Como’s Christmas record tonight with dinner, and Emerson even recognized some of the songs and sang along with Jingle Bells. Before I got her up in her seat, she needed to just grab one quick bite from her plate. Look at her up on those little tippy-toes!

And then she proceeded to eat two full taquitos, and maybe half of another one, plus rice. And a gooooood heaping (or two) of sour cream. The girl loves to dip stuff.

Lately, we’ve all started giving each other “bear hugs,” and so she also calls them “bear kisses,” and it’s adorable. She wanted to give Daddy a bear hug in the middle of dinner, and when she gave him a bear kiss, she got sour cream on his chin and I loved it.

She had to go on a little adventure to find Sheppy after dinner, so I walked her all around the house helping her look for him, even though he was right in the dining room. But she loved walking around looking for him, and by the time we made it back here, she was so excited when she saw him!

And we did our chocolate advent calendar, before reading some Christmas books together.

And then she got changed into some warm, snuggly jammies, and grabbed a bag of cereal for her pre-bedtime snack.

She was on the verge of a little meltdown before bedtime, but we talked her down off a ledge, and kept her from getting out of control. After that, I sang her regular lullabies for her, and then tucked her into her crib.

We did a little tidying up and cleaning around the house (plus laundry & dishes), and put away all the bins of Christmas stuff after I finished getting the last few things I wanted. Like this adorable, teeny tiny ceramic Christmas tree that my Mama gave me for Christmas last year.

Can anyone guess what we’re gonna do now? We’re in such a routine now of hot tea before bedtime, and I’m really enjoying it. We’re also going to find a Christmas movie on Disney+ and snuggle up on the couch together.
