Emerson and I are back from three days camping in the youth campsite on St. George Island, with her little Wednesday night girls group of 3rd-5th graders. (If you’ve gotten out of order somehow, click here for day two, and click here for day three.)
Sunday: GC Girls Camp Out Day 1
We left after church and lunch Sunday morning and took a small group, but we had a great time! I drove my own car, with Emmie and one little friend, and we had a blast driving down together.

We got busy setting up tents as soon as we got there, and the sun was setting through the trees right behind our camp ground, looking beautiful!

And the youth camp site that we were at, was directly on the bay side of the island, with super still waters and beautiful skies and just the most gorgeous views!

The girls all took turns cooking, cleaning, and helping out around the camp site with different chores, and they did a great job working together.

The girls were running WILD until 10pm that first night, just totally wound up and excited to be hanging out together. They were making up routines and dances and playing “put a finger down” games (that made absolutely NO sense; like “put a finger down if you’ve never not talked to a dog in a baby voice!” Like, what is that!”) but they were having a blast and we just let them go until they were about to crash!
