Eating her Llama Loops cereal that Grammy got her, and wearing a new dress that Grammy got her!
Jeff was on camera duty for the church livestream this morning, so it just just me and Emmie for a few hours at home. And we had a great time!
She helped me water our new flowers…
And put out new bird seed in our bird house.
She read a few Bible stories while I vacuumed the living room…
And started her own load of laundry! 🙂
She watched her preschool music class zoom, and then read herself some more books while I listened in on our Sunday school Zoom class.
And then she was super hyper and bouncy (and distracting) during the sermon time. But oh so cute!
We both read our books for a few minutes, while I heated up her cheese noodles for her lunch.
And then I let her just sit on the counter so I could reach her better to help her eat.
She went down really good for her naptime, right after Jeff got home from church. Then him and I had leftovers for lunch while watching a YouTube video. He fell asleep for a bit, so I grabbed some pretzels and my Kindle to read while Emmie napped.
Emmie napped for about 1.5 hours, and then she and I headed over to Grammy’s house! (Jeff had a migraine and was still sleeping, so we left him at home in bed.) We went swimming for a while (Riley is the happiest little water baby!), then all the four baby girls had a bath together (Megan was literally IN the bathtub with them still in her swim suit, trying wrangle all those naked girls!), and then we had grilled cheeses & orange slices for dinner, which was all surprisingly simple and delicious!
Look at all those chunk little baby bellies in bikinis! We gotta get Emmie a teeny bikini too!
We also took the girls for a post-dinner pajama wagon ride, and it was a lot of work. We need a second wagon for all these girls!
We had such a great day, starting with just me & Emmie this morning, and then the whole big family this afternoon and evening. But y’all, I’m tired. Emerson is still flopping around in her crib, with her eyes open, but I’m really hoping she’ll settle down on her own, cuz Mama’s tired and needs to rest!
