Today’s theme for Emmie was “winter wonderland,” but we weren’t quite sure how to dress for that. So she ran around like a chicken with her head cut off for about 15 minutes this morning trying to find something to wear. Then out of nowhere, I plucked her Winter Blitz shirt with the snowflake for winter wonderland, and she thought that was a great idea. And Jeff just picked a regular, random outfit for Addie, but she was happy about her unicorn shirt.
Look at these cute little ornaments Emmie made in her class at school. Another one of her cute little profile, and one with her school photo to commemorate her cute little bunny teeth era.
I got myself some dinner and went to church early for worship team practice before prayer meeting tonight. Jeff picked up both girls today, and got them some dinner too, before heading to church as well.
Then tonight was awards night for all of the GC Girls & GC Boys Wednesday classes, to recognize all the things they’ve been learning and accomplishing during their Wednesday night classes. They asked Emerson to lead the pledge to the Christian flag tonight, and she did a great job!
This was Addie’s first time doing one of these awards nights, as she just started in the preschool class this past August. Their class is called the Rainbows, and they’re so cute and tiny. Addie didn’t quite participate on the stage very well, and eventually just picked the band-aid off her palm and held it the rest of the time 🤣
Then it was the triplets’ turn in their kindergarten class, the Daisies.
And then Emerson’s class was up next, the Prim’s.
There was one more girls class, and two or three boys classes after that, followed by a little Christmas party in the foyer for the whole church with snacks, cookies and party punch, my fave. It was storming like crazy by the time we needed to leave, so we got a little soggy rushing out to the car, but we made it home safely. While the girls were running around playing, and not getting calmed down and ready for bed like I told them to, I mixed up some french onion dip super fast, to take to work for our white elephant party tomorrow.
Also, Sheppy was looking very cute peeking out from behind the little faux plant and mushroom embroidered canvas today.
Emmie and I still have two short chapters left in our Boxcar Children book, and we’ve both just been enjoying so much.
Both girls did fall asleep pretty quickly tonight, so that was good. We already picked out Emmie’s outfit, she helped me wrap a gift for my work party, and I’m gonna go set up the coffee pot to be ready for first thing in the morning. I always like to do these little tasks at night when I can / when I remember, to help make the mornings as smooth as possible. Especially Wednesday nights / Thursday mornings, since things are always trickier after late church nights and early mornings the next day.
