Arcade Games & Chicken Wings

My cheetah girls were all bundled up with pink jackets like the Pink ladies, ready for a great morning at church!

Then a giant group of 5 families (about 25 people) went out to lunch at Tijuana Flats. (Not usually my favorite place, but the cheesy steak flautas were actually really good today.)

All four of us ended up napping this afternoon, for various lengths of time… I read for a while, and slept for a only a little, then read some more with some iced coffee. But Jeff and Addie both slept about 2.5 hours.

Then once we were all awake and moving again, we headed out across town to meet Grammy and Papa at Hanger 38 for some fun and food. We got a one-hour-play card, and we kind of all took turns playing and supervising and eating and playing, and it was so much fun!

Then when we finally finished up there, Emerson really wasn’t ready to leave Grammy and Papa yet, so we went around the corner to get fro-yo at Sweet Frog. Unfortunately, Addison fell off the tiny picnic table and bumped her chin, causing her to bite her tongue so hard it bled for a few minutes, and then she was just so upset and never really recovered. That is until Grammy took her to look at the giant frogs up on the walls, and she liked that a lot.

Emerson read this book to me at bedtime, that we picked out at the library yesterday, and did so good with it. There were some bigger words she needed help with, but really she did a lot of it on her own, and it was so sweet.

Both girls were tired though, and luckily went to sleep very easily. We’ve got a few things that we need to get done tomorrow, and I’m also hoping I can finish my current Kindle book. I’m almost 75% in, and it’s really good, and I think I definitely finish it tomorrow.
