My girls were adorable this morning. I loved Addie’s pink pants under her too-short dino dress, and I loved Emmie’s pink blue-light-filtering glasses, worn for no reason at all 🤣

Emerson had a teacher planning day today, so instead of going to school, she went to spend the day with Grandmommie.

And I just loved how totally excited this cutie pie was on our walk into school this morning!

And that same cutie pie made a fun little pineapple at school today.

I stayed up too late last night working on my puzzle, and made it this far a little before midnight… So once I threw in a pre-made quiche from Aldi into the oven, along with some croissants, I was able to work on this while dinner basically took care of itself.

Then I just opened up a can of peaches, and cut some green onions, and everything was ready to go. This was a ham & swiss quiche, and it was really good. But it was also not big enough for all of us. It was thinner than it looked, and we ate the whole entire thing, and wished there was more. Addie actually had two helpings, and was still asking for more! I was thinking we might need two next time, but it was like $9, so I could make a bigger one myself for about the same price. This was clearly just for the convenience, but it was at least yummy.

I got Emmie to help me with the puzzle tonight after cleaning up from dinner, and she did a great job working on those upper portions that were harder for me to reach. And of course Addie had to get in on the party and help out too. But we got the whole thing finished! This was a great puzzle, really fun to put together, and really good quality.

We watched an episode or two of Bluey like always, and then got going on our usual bedtime routines. Emmie was so cute reading her little graphic novel in her bed, with her Aristocats bookmark.

Both girls were having a rough night once we started trying to actually get them to sleep, so they needed some extra loves and cuddles and lullabies before we got them calmed down. Hoping everyone has a good night’s sleep now, cuz I know we all need it!
