Alexa, Where Are You?

Short, quick post tonight, after a very chill day… The girls and I spent the majority of the day with Grandmommie. Emerson helped her get some of her Christmas presents wrapped, and Addison and I just kind of hung out. I love my mom’s little coffee station, and may have fixed myself up a cup or two throughout the day.

Addie was looking for the little Alexa speaker thing my mom keeps by her chair, but couldn’t see it. So she was like, “Alexa, where are you!?” So Alexa replies, “Hi, I’m right here.” And Addie says, “Alexa, why are you being behind all these presents?” Then she just sat there jabbering away with Alexa for like five or ten minutes, asking what she likes to eat and what’s her favorite color and all sorts of silliness. And she kept saying, “Where are youuuu?? I can’t seeee youuuu?!” She was cracking me up.

I made us up some fresh grilled cheese sandwiches, and heated up some homemade soup my mom made last night. She used a ham bone and a bunch of veggies, and little chunks of ham, and it was super good. So warm and comforting, and perfect for a cold day, especially when I’m still feeling a little under the weather myself.

I forced little Elsa to lay down and take a nap, and I took a tiny nap with her for about 30 minutes, but I couldn’t fall back asleep after that. She got in about an hour and a half though, so that was good for her. She skipped her nap both Saturday & Sunday this past weekend, and was kind of a monster come 7pm-ish, so I was very glad I could get her to sleep today.

And those were the only pictures I took today! We stayed there till almost 5pm, then came home to wash dishes and make dinner. Jeff made a run to Publix for some cold meds and got some BOGO cereal for breakfast the rest of the week. We found out tonight that the Governor also gave State workers the day off for Christmas Eve, so all four of us will be home for five days together now!

But now, look at these great pictures our media/photo guy got at church yesterday! Loved this sweet moment leading worship with my mini-me. Emerson did such a beautiful job, and I’m still just so proud of her!

She is just so beautiful!!! Can’t wait to lead many more worship songs with her through the years. ♥️
