Addison’s First Dentist Visit

At-home sister pics today, since we had another morning outside of our usual routine…

Addison looked so cute with her purse, and her pot-holder for her breakfast casserole marching out to the car. But when I asked her to spin and smile, this is what we got.

So first, we dropped off Emerson at school. And then I dropped off Jeff at his office. Then we had a few extra minutes, so Addie and I went to this new-to-me Little Free Library I spotted the other day that I’d never seen before. And it was so well-stocked! I didn’t have anything to drop off today, so we’ll have to come back another time to leave some goodies. But I lucked out with my picks today!

And then finally, we went to the pediatric dentist, for Addison’s first dentist appointment! We kept forgetting to add her to our dental insurance during open enrollment back in 23/24, and finally remembered last year in 25. So today was her first appointment. And she did so well! We tried to do x-rays, but she wasn’t really into that. But for the cleaning and check-up, she did SO well and the tech and doctor were very impressed with her. I was so proud of what a big girl she was! And no cavities!!

I took Addie into school late, then drove myself to work. I worked for a couple of hours, then went back to pick up Jeff for some errands and lunch time. First up was Goodwill to thrift some more jeans and work pants for him to take on his upcoming mission trip to Moldova next week. He found three pairs of pants, and I found books for me, and one for Emmie. Plus three more to use as part of the triplets’ birthday present for their birthday coming up next week.

Then two doors down for the giant salad bar at Jason’s Deli. I always love me a salad bar, and there’s is great. I miss the Sonny’s salad bar though, which they got rid of during covid and said it’ll never return 🙁 But I was also reminiscing today to Jeff about my college dining hall salad bar, which I was also obsessed with back in the day.

After lunch, Jeff dropped me off and he took the car like we’ve been doing lately. So then he picked us all up again after work and school, and we had enough time before church to get dinner together. We always love going to Culver’s, because we can get kids’ meals that come with a free cup of ice cream too! And tonight, the girls were very excited about these cute little Culver’s ducks we bought them.

We all went to our mid-week church service tonight after dinner, and made it home for a late bedtime. I prepped my evening tea again before getting the girls down, so after we got them to sleep, it was all ready and I was able to just pour it up and bring to the computer to drink while I wrote this post.

OK, heading off to rest and chill and then sleep…
