We had some cereal for breakfast today, and then split up for a couple different things… I went to midtown to meet my Mama, and we helped set up for a surprise 80th birthday party for a friend of her friend of a friend, or something like that… It wasn’t exactly our style, but we just did what the lady wanted, and she loved it, so it’s all good! 🙂
And Baby Hayden was there supervising all of our work, just being a sweet, chubby little nugget!
Afterwards, I hadn’t had any coffee yet, so obviously I needed to stop by Frother’s Daugther for a few lattes. And I earned a free sticker for my five coffees of the summer so far.
And while I was doing all of that, Jeff and Addie took a trip to Lowe’s, looking for a part he needed for his lawnmower.
And then Emmie finally made it back home from kids camp! They got back to the church at 12:15, so we were there a little before that to pick her up. Her bestie Daisy had gone to camp also, but her Mama was running late, so we picked her up and she hung out with us a little bit. They were so cute with their little matching pencil face tatts too 😉 We went back to Publix again for the $5 popcorn chicken meal for lunch, since that’s just too good of a meal to pass up, and her mama met up with us there.
After we finished eating, I told the girls they “didn’t have to nap,” but we had to do “feet off the floor time,” and rest on the couch watching tv. So we put the “Frozen” broadway musical, and in no time flat, both girlies had accidentally fallen asleep, and surprise, surprise, I fell asleep not too long after.
Jeff ran back out to Tractor Supply while we slept, looking for more parts for his lawnmower, and then joined us in the living room to chill. We had the laziest afternoon, all just resting and catching up after a busy week, and and watching tv still snuggled up on the couch.
For dinner, we met up with Nana and PopPop at Peppers, and I super enjoyed these delicious quesa-birria tacos. It came with rice and beans too, but I only ate two tacos, and like 1 bite of rice & beans, and brought the rest home.
Emerson actually brought home this silly little hat (on a headband) from camp a few weeks ago, and she wanted to wear it tonight. But you can see those little eyes are still super sleepy, even after her accidental afternoon nap.
The girls had a bath once we got home, and then they were both sleepy and ready for bed. Emmie needed lots of extra mommy snuggles since she had been away from me for a few days, and I needed snuggles from her too honestly! She had a great time at camp, but she was very glad to be back home with her family, and sleeping in her own bed again.
