Accessorized

Addie is going three-days-strong with these very fashionable sunglasses. And these cute matching dresses from last summer are probably being retired after today, since they’re almost too short. But we’ll save Emmie’s to pass down for Addie to wear again in a couple of years.

Today’s taco salad for lunch, made with last night’s leftovers, was sooo good. I didn’t add the nacho cheese, but it was still very, very good. Also, I love saving & reusing these tiny jam jars for tiny toppings and to-go condiments for work.

The High Touch, High Tech people came back to visit Emerson’s class again today, and they got to learn all about rocks and shark’s teeth and do some rock-panning outside. And of course they all brought home a bag of fun rocks too!

For dinner tonight, I made air-fried chicken nuggets, then the girls had ranch chicken wraps, and I had a buffalo chicken ranch wrap (with pickles & green onions), with some spiral garlic noodles on the side. The girls actually loved the wraps, and both of them ate their whole thing. I thought about splitting in half for them to share, but ended up giving them a whole one each, which was good, since they both loved it and ate their whole wrap each!

Nana was in our neighborhood around dinner time, she stopped by for a quick 20-30-minute visit while we ate, and then let the girls chatter and tell her about their day and show her some of their random treasures and the rocks from today. We didn’t see them this past weekend, and we won’t see them this coming weekend, so she just had to come get some little girl lovies!

We did our usual Bluey episodes after she left, and then followed that up with the usual bedtime routines.

After finishing our bedtime book, Addie got up to put her book away, but got distracted and accessorized her nightgown.

Luckily, Daddy still got this precious girl to sleep.

I never did manage to wash the dishes last night, so now I really have a lot to deal with tonight. I finished one audio book on my way to pick up the girls after school, so I’m gonna get started on a brand new one tonight, to keep me entertained while I stand over the sink, scrubbing away…
