This sassy little goofball wanted to ride to Walmart with Daddy for our early morning grocery pickup, so we got her all bundled up to survive the cold weather. Emerson and I stayed home to wash dishes, and they brought home donuts for our breakfast.

After an extremely busy day yesterday, all of us were able to sleep in a good bit this morning, and then we had the most laid back Black Friday. Well, I think Emerson was still up early, but I slept until about 9am, and then when I got up, Emmie and I put on a movie and I kinda snoozed off and on during that for a while too. But my poor little Addie was really sleeping a lot. She didn’t even wake up until 11am, when we actually had to wake her up. Poor little girl wasn’t feeling well today, and her body needed all the rest.

For the first time, we actually went out of town for Thanksgiving today! We went up to Tifton, Georgia, to long-time family friends’ of Jeff’s family, along with his parents, and his younger brother’s family eventually made it too (although they had some difficulties early this morning and didn’t make it until about 30 minutes before it was time for us to leave).

After three hard days camping with a group of little girlies, I was exhausted and in serious need of a day of rest and recovery. I slept in this morning until 10am, then woke up and ate a bowl of cereal, added new photos to this post from yesterday, and then fell back asleep again for another few hours. And even once I woke up then, I was barely up and moving until like 3pm. Jeff and the girls had been doing all sorts of playing and tv-watching and who knows, while I just snoozed on the couch. Eventually, the girls actually joined me on the couch for afternoon movie rest time, watching “The Sound of Music.” Not too long into it though, both could barely keep their eyes open, so they just kinda naturally settled together like this, and took a little cat nap for about 45 minutes.

Our final day was a lot of work, breaking down the camp, but we still found time to have some fun and enjoy the last day together. (If you’re not already caught up, start with day one, click here; or day two, click here.)
Waking up with no fog today, meant we had an INCREDIBLE sunrise. So y’all know I took a zillion photos! (It was actually 25, but practically a zillion.) This was the view when I first popped out of my tent at 6:30 on the way to the restroom. I literally unzipped my tent, and had to step back in to grab my phone and snap pictures, before I could even walk to the restroom, because I knew it would start changing quickly and I didn’t want to miss this gentle orange and purple sky!

After only a half day together on our first day (Sunday), Monday was our longest, fullest, and most fun day together! (If you missed day one, click here; or if you’re ready for day three, click here.)
The morning started out very damp and foggy, but these girls were totally obsessed with these stick bugs they found, and subsequently carried around on and off throughout the day.

Emerson and I are back from three days camping in the youth campsite on St. George Island, with her little Wednesday night girls group of 3rd-5th graders. (If you’ve gotten out of order somehow, click here for day two, and click here for day three.)
We left after church and lunch Sunday morning and took a small group, but we had a great time! I drove my own car, with Emmie and one little friend, and we had a blast driving down together.

Started out this Saturday with cereal for breakfast at home. We finally finished up the last of our Wicked-theme boxes today, which seemed fitting for this week actually.
